I thought it would be fun to compare specific scenes from The Autobiography of Jane Eyre to previous Jane Eyre adaptations, especially since the previous adaptations are all set in the novel’s original time period and aren’t updated to the present day as is AoJE.

Rochester and Jane’s First Meeting

In the original novel, Rochester and Jane first meet when she is walking down a road in the fog and spooks his horse, causing it to rear up and throw him to the ground.
