Swami Atmarupananda’s Visit to Dallas

Swami Atmarupananda is a renowned scholar, teacher, and monk of the Ramakrishna Order of India.

After joining the Ramakrishna Order of India in 1969, he spent seven years in India, engaged in monastic training and scholarly and spiritual pursuits.

Upon returning to the United States, Swami Atmarupananda was posted, from 1984-1997, as the resident minister of the San Diego branch of the Vedanta Society of Southern California.

Later he served for seven years as the resident minister of the Vivekananda Retreat at Ridgely, New York.

Swami Atmarupananda is a teacher who combines humor and a down-to-earth practicality in conveying the subtleties of spiritual development.  Some of his writings have been translated into various European and Asian languages.  He travels widely
