Kathleen Matthews
American journalist (born 1953)

Kathleen Ann Matthews (née Cunningham; born August 9, 1953) is the former chief communications and public affairs officer for hotel company Marriott International.
Prior to joining Marriott International, she was a reporter and anchor for 25 years at WJLA-TV. She was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives for Maryland's 8th congressional district in the 2016 elections.

Early life and education
Matthews was born in San Francisco.[1] She is a 1975 graduate of Stanford University. In 2004 she was a Fellow at the Institute of Politics at the John F.
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She has honorary degrees from the University of South Carolina and Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.
