    Nancy Horowitz Kleinbaum, the author of Dead Poets Society, is an American writer and journalist (“N.H. Kleinbaum,” n.d.).

    She attended Northwestern University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism before pursuing a master’s degree in American Studies, History, and Literature at Columbia University Kleinbaum is most well-known for her adaptation of films and television shows to novels.

    She authored D.A.R.Y.L. in 1985, Growing Pains: A Novel between 1985 and 1992, The Magnificent Seven: The Authorized Story of American Gold in 1996, and Dr. Doolittle in 1998 (“NH Kleinbaum,” n.d.).
